Today I'll share with you my unboxing moment with my September BDJ Box.

This is my very first BDJ Box EVER and I am super excited that it finally arrived!

Although it was a bit delay due to the courier but the wait was worth it. 

The theme for this month's box is LUMINISCENT BEAUTY.
They brought us beauty essentials that would make us glowing and radiant!

All the items inside the box cost  6,536Php and I payed a total of 580Php for this box,
isn't it amazing?! I got 6x the money I payed and was definitely worth it!

I am super happy with my box. Most of the items are full sized. The Olay was the best
for me since I am in dire need of a moisturizer right now, thank God! The lipgloss is hanging
on my phone as of now, plenty already complimented me about my cute lip gloss. Also,
the hair products went great! I've been using it for 5days already and my hair feels
oh so wonderful! I'll try to make separate reviews for this items. So stay tune for them!

Being a makeup enthusiast, I wear makeup almost all the time, when going to school, to the mall, or simply outdoors. I wear makeup mainly because I want to feel presentable and pleasant to look at, I'm confident wearing makeup, period. lol.

So after a whole entire day wearing makeup, my face tends to gather dirt and oil from pollution and from the environment so I make it a point to cleanse as much as I can to remove all the dirt and minimize my impurities. That's where Pond's Perfect Care Lemon Cold Cream comes in action. I always wear liners and mascara, removing them by simply washing my face is not good enough because it leaves the skin on my eye area dark and the product I am using are usually water-proof. With the help of this product, removing makeup is just a breeze! No dark skin, no rubbing, no irritation. Just smooth, soft skin after application!

PRICE. This costs 130Php at the mall and contains 60ml. This is my second third jar

already. My last jar lasted for couple of months. Not bad.

CONSISTENCY. It is your typical cream, but it get oily upon application. Simply get a pea-size

and place it on the forehead, nose, chin and cheeks then simply massage through the face, then viola! =D

SCENT. It has this lemon scent that reminds me of a candy, I forgot the name. It may have a scent but it's not pungent at all, I even find it quite pleasant to smell. Like fresh and citrusy.

OVERALL. This is a good product. An awesome makeup remover for only 130Php that can last for months! It left my face soft, smooth and moisturized, just the skin that I always wanted. I won't stop using Pond's products because they always satisfy their consumers.

What I like about the product:

• It only cost 130Php.
• I like the scent.
• Travel friendly, can be easily squeezed in bags.
• Love the cute packaging.
• Available on almost all department stores and drugstores.
• Left my skin soft, smooth and moisturized!

What I don't like about the product:

• Made my face a little bit oily.
• Other than that --- NOTHING!

Before ending my review about this awesome product,

I would like to share some tips on how to use the Pond's Cold Cream

to achieve the maximum benefits from this product.

TIPS ON USING POND'S COLD CREAM:

• If you don't like to feel too oily before washing your face, you can use facial wipes to remove the cream and wash your face after to remove the excess cream.
• When removing water-proof liners and mascara, put a small amount of cream on the lids and gently massage throughout the eye area to remove the makeup. You don't need to rub it hard since continuous massaging removes the makeup already.
• Continue to massage throughout the face even when your makeup is already removed so your face can absorb the cream.

I for one has been dealing with this issues ever since I was in high school.

Tiny white heads gather on my nose as well as my chin area and my forehead, some advised me to have a facial every month so I can minimize my problem. PACKAGING. It comes in a white squeezable tube and contains 3.35oz (95g) of product. 
A tube like this can last for an entire month, depending on how often you use it. 
Mine is on it's 2nd week already and there's still plenty inside.

Upon removing the cap, I saw that the tube is sealed. 

So that's good, you can be sure that the item you bought is not tampered or used. 

It can easily be removed as well.

A P P L Y I N G    T H E    P R O D U C T

BOOO!!!!

HAHAHAHA! Just kidding. I apologize for this photo, I really do.

It's just that, I applied the product at night after I arrived from school.

So it's meant to be dark, and I also used the flash. My bad x)

Okey, so upon application, the consistency of the product is a bit gooey.

Like a glue, maybe? And it also dries up quickly, so you better apply it all over

your face quickly to prevent further mess.

The first time I used this, I felt uncomfortable with all the gooey-ness happening on

my face. But after getting used to it, I kind of like the feeling already. After 10 minutes, you 

would feel that the mask is starting to dry up and your face begins to tighten. Heck I can't

speak well whenever I have a mask on!

I consider doing this as a part of my exfoliating routine. I exfoliate every other day

since it's not that good to exfoliate everyday because to much skin will be removed,

and therefore prevent irritation or something. It's just something I read. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I peel the mask after 30mins more or less, chin first. I don't know, I like it that way. lol. 

It kind of hurt due to the facial hairs being pulled while removing the mask, but it's bearable.

You may also notice wholes over the mask, that's where my white heads sits.

I tend to apply more product on my nose area as well as other areas where most of my

white heads are so it can really be removed, or not, minimized.

ALRIGHT! I managed to remove the mask without tearing it apart! lol.

I've been VERY careful with this. So I should pat myself in the back. hehe!

After removing the mask, I felt my face soft, fresh and just awesome! lol.

I love touching it after. ^_^

OVERALL. I like the product. It's worth my money spent. It did helped me with my

white heads and made my skin of so soft and smooth. I love the after feel of this product!

I don't know with you guys but I find this item affordable considering that you can use it for

a whole entire month whereas to having a facial for one session only every month.

With this product, you can have a facial every week! How good is that? =)

What I like about the product:

• The packaging is neat to look at.
• Affordable at 222Php but the sachet is also available.
• Doesn't have a pungent smell.
• The after-feel is amazing!
• EFFECTIVE!

What I don't like about the product:

• A bit messy to apply.
• Other than that, NONE.

So that's it ladies! Have a facial every week at the comfort of your bedroom.

It's affordable. It has amazing results. And it's FUN when peeling it off. lol.

Now let's proceed with the review, shall we? :) 

WHAT THE PRODUCT CLAIMS. Longwearing lip color leaves a semi-matte. crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather or bleed.

Made with hydrating skin care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E helps smooth lips.

I've been meaning to buy these babies for the longest time! But since the brand is not yet available on our place (Tacloban City), I have to purchase them online. So I searched through various online shops and bumped into this shop called Nyx Wholesale PH and was astonished by the price of the lippies! I'll tell you the price later. *grin :3

OKEY, LET'S GO!

PACKAGING. It comes in a sleek black tube with a transparent cap. The lipstick doesn't completely retract into the tube so it would cause the cap to hit or smudge the lipstick upon opening/closing it. But nonetheless, I appreciate the transparent cap, it helps me pick the shade I want easily rather than picking each one and looking at the bottom for the name/shade.

As you can see, I only bought 3 shades out of the 20 available colors. I chose the shades that I see myself using everyday. Mauve Outta Here,  24 Carrot Gold and Coral-ine are on the top of my list. I feel comfortable wearing them in school, like, I want to look fabulous and presentable but I don't want that much attention, Do you know what I mean?

PRICE. Now for the price! You won't believe how much this babies costs! Considering the quality of these lippies together with it's long-wearing ability, benefit definitely exceeds cost at 115Php! How awesome is that?! Sorry, I can't contain myself with all this excitement. lol.

 CONSISTENCY. This gave me a matte finish, although it claims to have a semi-matte finish. What I like about it is that it doesn't sits on my lines. It does not glide smoothly on my lips considering that I didn't use a lip balm, gonna remind myself to purchase one of those though. hehe! It didn't made my lips dry as well, so that's a plus.

S   W   A   T   C   H   E   S

The lippies are super pigmented, and just out there like BAM!

It certainly took the center stage!  I can't stretch how much I love love l-o-v-e them!

It took me two layers for this specific swatch right here. JUST TWO! How about that?! =D

L  I  P    S  W  A  T  C  H

24 CARROT GOLD. It has a warm orange color that would definitely make

your lips POP-UP. It is suitable for everyday use. This helps me achieve a fresh

look at school and I'm lovin' it!

CORAL-INE. A bright coral red color. The photo here didn't quite capture 

the exact color it looks like in person, my apologies for that. But it's really not 

your typical red lipstick, that I can assure you.

Mauve Outta Here. This is a pink color lipstick with a purple undertone.

I personally love this one although I don't use it very often compared 

to the 24 Carrot Gold. It lights ups my face because of it's bright shade, 

but not too light.

O   V   E   R   A   L   L

I love the lippies! It's my TOP 1 on my list of favorite lipstick!

Okey, so I don't own a lot of branded lipstick. It's because most of them are costly and as you all know, I am on a tight budget. lol. For beginners and budget-conscious ladies out there, I would definitely recommend this brand! It's affordable, long-wearing and has beautiful shades to choose from. Doesn't looks cheap at all considering that it only costs 115Php. So try it now! *happy face :)

What I love about this product:

• AFFORDABLE at only 115Php!
• Has a matte finish.
• Doesn't dried up my lips.
• Got 20 shades to choose from.
• Colors are so pigmented.

What I don't like about the product:

• Lipstick doesn't retract well on the tube.
• Cap became usually messy and untidy.
• Not that smooth when glided on the lips.
• Because of it's flat top, it's messy when applying on the lips.

So there you go beautiful!

MAKEUP BRUSHES 101: A Guide for Beginners

Makeup brushes plays an important role in makeup. Honestly before, I don't know the how to's about brushes until I read an article about the types and functions of makeup brushes, then it made me realize the number of brushes I need to learn to use.

So I made this guide about makeup brushes to help beginners (just like me) to familiarize the functions and uses of the different kinds of brushes. I do hope this post will be helpful :)

M A K E U P    B R U S H E S

Makeup brushes comes in two types:

SYNTHETIC HAIR BRUSHES. Most makeup brushes are made by synthetic hairs. It is also said that they are better in picking up liquid and cream products like BB Creams and Liquid Foundations. It also has less maintenance compared to the natural hair brushes.

ANIMAL/NATURAL HAIR BRUSHES. These brushes costs more than the synthetic ones (if I am not mistaken) but there are some sets that has both synthetic and natural hairs. Since they are actual hairs, they need a lot of caring, therefore high maintenance is required. They are also good for picking powder products because they are real hairs.

F A C E    B R U S H E S

FOUNDATION BRUSHES. This is used for applying foundation (of course), may it be liquid, cream, powder of minerals. It is normally made up of synthetic hair.

CLASSIC FOUNDATION BRUSH. This is often used when applying liquid foundations and BB Creams. Although it's not the easiest way to apply liquids and cream on the face since we are used to using out finger, some still use this for hygiene purposes. This also cause streaking when used.

FLAT TOP BRUSH / BUFFERING BRUSH. This is gives a full coverage because of it's density. Also, it consumes less time on retouching or buffing powder on the face. Since it has a flat top, creases will not be applied very well.

STIPPLING BRUSH. This gives you that airbrush finish. This is usually used for liquid foundations of BB Creams, but it's time consuming because you have to "pat" the product on you face. Other used the "swirl" motion, but it's still fine.

POWDER BRUSH. This has a big fluffy brush that is used to apply loose powders. This can also be used to blend everything on the face.

CONCEALER BRUSH. This is usually made of synthetic hair and used to cover blemishes on hard-to-reach areas around the face like the corners of the eyes due to it's small size. I looks like a small version of the classic foundation brush.

KABUKI BRUSH. It has this short stem and dense bristle and most likely be an all-around brush. The heads are most often round but though it can be also flat. This is handy for touch ups and even blush!

ANGLED FACE BRUSH / CONTOURING BRUSH. This is used to define your face, it gives it dimension so your face won't look "flat". It can also be used to apply blush, apply it under your cheekbones to make them standout. You can also define your nose, and forehead using this brush.

BLUSH BRUSH. It's a smaller version of powder brush. It's primary use it to apply blush.

FAN BRUSH. It is considered an all-around brush. This can be used for loose powder, blush and also for fall outs. It also gently sweeps bronzing powders and illuminator on the face.  This baby right here can be quite handy sometimes.

E Y E   B R U S H E S

EYEBROW BRUSH. This is usually made up of synthetic hair shaped as an angled brush and resembles a broad maker. Gives density. Used to apply powder and cream on the brows.

EYESHADOW BRUSH. Some are made out of animal hair, some synthetic. It comes in various sizes and shapes. Used to apply eyeshadow, contour the crease and the nose.

BLENDING BRUSH. This is used to blend eyeshadows and eliminate harsh lines on the lids. There are various blending brushes, the vary in size and shapes as well. They are also made out of synthetic or animal hair.

CREASE BRUSH. Used on the hallows of the eyes to blend and give that deep-set eyes effect. They are fluffy and soft and have different sizes as well.

 LIP BRUSH. Used to apply lipstick :) I personally don't use this and apply my lipstick straight from the tube because I'm stubborn enough to use a brush. lol.

O T H E R    B R U S H E S

BRUSH and COMB. This is used to blend out the eyebrow pencil when filling the brows. It's a tool that's always present in any brush set. Some also use it to have a more natural look on the brows.

SPOOLY. This is also used the same as the brush and comb --- to groom the brows. This can also be used on the lashes.

T H A T ' S    I T ! ! !

I hope this was a helpful guide for beginners who are not yet familiar while the wide variety of makeup brushes. You should know how to use and when to use a brush because it can either make you or break you. So we better choose wisely!
